Although a contradiction of terms, post life regression is the process of going forward in time to a life after the current one rather than the other way round.  Anyhow, I have been asked to perform such task on someone in the past but I felt so strongly against it that I refused.  I don't disbelieve that it is possible as time is only linear so we can comprehend and better understand it but I thought that if a person was to know of their time of death, that they could simply 'give up the ghost' as it were.  To simply stop feeling that there was no reason to continue living.  It could however mean that they start living on the other hand!  I'm not sure if I'm making myself understood clearly enough but I would like to know what others feel about it.  Am I wrong to deny someone the experience?  Would knowing the future somehow mean that they could change the time of their demise?

When palm-reading I often look to the future as predicted in their palm and I feel ok with that the same with the tarot but I can't understand why I feel so differently.

I am familiar of a concept of time as circular. This probably means that everything exists and is happening at the same time. Makes my head reel... but then all such topics make my head reel. I sure wouldn't want to know about the future, but I wonder very much about the past.

Okay I am going to start out by saying that this is only my opinion, however, I have seen it shared by many others.

I am a firm believer you should not look forward in a hypnosis session. You might be asking yourself why? Well, because as Dick said you might stop living if you see something that you do not like. A lot of things could happen. Not to mention that if you go into the future and see what is going on and change any part of it it (accidentally or intentionally) could not only effect you but, it could effect other people in your life or even people not directly in your life. It's just not a wise idea in my opinion. Kind of like Doc in the Back to the Future movies says, "You change one thing in the future/ past and it could change the time line as we know it forever."

Anyway, that is just my opinion on the subject.

I think that you should always follow your strong instinct and intuition.

For me, IMHO, i think that time is not linear - but it is a useful illusion. As a palmist etc etc, i have had 'flashes of the future' - they generally turn out true, sometimes from a slightly different camera angle.

Do you think you should avoid ALL post life errrrrm ?Pro ?-gressions??? or just this person/ your current clients?

The idea with past lives is we often incarnate with the same set of souls - kinda class reunion thing; or factory batch... so doing a pst life regression may open a can of future worms where your client- hypnotist relationship may be compromised owing to beliefs based on a future existence - ethically a big headache- if your client then thinks you will be lovers/ family etc in 'the next lifetime' or feels guilt for, say, being the person who murders you in a fit of jealous rage - which would make no sense linearly.

So i think the idea of future lives is fascinating, but one to tread with caution. I have been lucky to get minimal flashes of past lives from only 4 people i have met - and amazingly, they too have confirmed details.

It is nice to know we dont lose old friends - remembering dying of a lung disease was a bit much, but going over into death was peaceful - I dont fear death. For me, it is just a door, and life one big circle.

One person, who supposedly caused my death in one life, stopped me choking to death in this one - so there we have a rough balance 


Past life stuff CAN help you get a handle on awkward energies, stuff that keeps coming back and happening;
It can give you a framework to work with stuff

..but i still think it is the life we are living we should pay attention to. Thank you DT
