deja vu always used to really scare and confuse me when i was a child

i always felt like i was strange and an outcast because i would always being saying things or seein things

and then it would happen

like someone would go to get something and i'd tell them not to, because something would happen and they would never listen but then the thing i would have warned them about would come to pass a second or so later

i still get it now

but its weird i'll be in the middle of a conversation or doing something and i'd know exactly what would happen or be said

It was so weird today! In my science class I got serious Deja Vu, and it was a really accurate and certain one that it had happened before - really surreal - over something as simple as gathering the experinmental items! Weider was how a friend (that i'm not THAT close too, but like) got exactly the same feeling, same time at the other end of the lab!

So strange ^^
What do people put it down to?

Its wierd, everytime I get deja vu i faint or pass out, it has happened everytime for udden reasons
must have bad memories from a past life or something.

Good theory, ill have to do some experiments the next time I regress someone.  I shouldn't have to wait long as I promised to past-life regress a friend again in a few weeks time.  I just don't know how I'm going to do it.  I'll think of a way though.

Hi all, I used to get de ja vu so much especially in my teens, so i can understand those of you who have said that it often scares you, it did me.  my problem was and still is that it is always insignificant things and yet no matter how clear it is i can't seem to change the outcome.  I get lots of 'feelings' which i have learnt to listen too and my lovely gorgeous husband Chris knows all about that.  If i ignore them i always regret it.
It seems as time has past the de ja vu has subsided but I have always been fascinated by the subject.  I have thought long and hard as to what it is and why it happens.  Even to parallel time.  It might be far fetched to think of such things but if you told someone even the most scientific wonder of the age 200 years ago that people would be watching someone on a television set in full colour and at almost in real time, and without any wires directly connecting the set.  they would have laughed and dismissed it as far fetched. Wink

Id love to hear other people's theories as to what it is and why we have them

Blessed be x

I get something similar to that!! I often get a feeling about something (very insignificant) really, and if i ignore it then it turns out that i should have listened, for example if i go away for the weekend and don't bring this thing that i feel i should (which i so random and unnecessary) then it turns out that i needed it after all, and what were the chances!?

In regards to Deja Vu though i really cannot think what it could be,though past lives would defiantly make sense ins some cases; however like today in my science class, some things you know were in this life time.   I used to believe in time travel (now it's hard for me to because of the aggravating paradoxes) and i used to think that we could go back in time to change things we did - but that seems pointless if we cannot remember what to change.

Even with the vast number of horrific things that have occurred in my past, I wouldn't want to tamper with time.  I would not change the fact that I got stabbed, spent half a year in hospital in absolute agony, the fact that I suffer memory loss, the other side effects that followed all due to the fact that it is our past that has made us what we are today!  If I did change them, would I even meet my wonderful husband?  I wouldn't want to chance it.  My past has shaped me just like it has shaped every one of us.  Our past may be gone and the changes might seem all doom and gloom but you have to look to the future and live life as if it is going to be your last day alive.

I agree. I haven't had nearly the amount of troubles as others, yet i have still had a lot of pain, and I'm only 16! I'm determined that one day i will run away from it all and find my happy place. I am so happy with who i am (maybe not my lack of talents and possibly how i look) but me inside i am content with -  most teenagers would have turned to anarchy having been in my situations, so i am proud of myself.
I wouldn't change anything, because i have learnt so much from it, and like you said Dickturpin, i might not be with my partner if i changed something in my past.

I think deja vu is a fascinating, if somewhat frustrating, subject to me.

To this day I am still not sure whether it is deja vu I am experiencing or if I am in fact going completely potty! lol

Humour me for a few while I explain, if you would!

I have to confess most of the stuff I 'feel as if I have done before' are usually completely random things like being out shopping or at a relative's house. Stupid things will trigger the feeling in me, i.e the sound of music in the background, a random statement made by someone even if it's not to me, the colour of something or a smell. But I feel so agonisingly like I have experienced whatever it was before, that it's unreal. This has ben happening since as far back as I can remember. More recently however, I have stranger experiences.

I work for a training company and am based from home. Of a day, I will go out to visit 3 or 4 people a day at various businesses around the area and can plan my own schedule. But I have been turning up randomly when I am 'not expected', finding that I have thought work should have been done because I set it ages ago, etc. But I clearly 'recall' discussing pieces of coursework!

For my part, I have an abysmal memory and always have but I do keep records of what I have done in previous visits with students and diaries of when I am due, and they often just don't agree with what I think I have already done.

Am I in fact experiencing weird deja vu episodes or have I completely dreamt the lot, not remembered that I have until too late, and am instead living a complete new day even when I sleep? It's just so random!!

I don't know if I were dreaming or awake either, all my old memories and dreams are both blury, so if nothing impossible happens... It's annoying.

Some people say to me things like; "would you change anything in your past". It wouldn't be anything signicant because I'm just a kid, but I don't know... and "would you like a better life or be born in a different time?" I say no, I could quite probably have a better quality of life but it wouldn't be my life, family, friends, pets. It wouldn't be the same. It wouldn't make you the person you are. I used to be not very nice, I was prejudiced, I didn't like my cousins or dogs, I didn't have any friends. I've worked on my personality, I like to keep an open mind, I'm generally nicer than some other people (it doesn't pay off to strangers though LOL, but... I don't beat people up or call them names which is better than most in my school Tongue), and I realise that I have five wonderfull younger cousins, and a wonderful dog, and some wonderful friends, well to me anyway, sometimes ( Tongue) but, it may not be perfect, but it's my life  Wink

I have experienced this with people. I would see someone and feel that I have seen him somewhere, but i can't place where. Now I am not sure if this is deja vu, but it sure feels weird.

I'm always gettin Deja vu, when I was a teen getting my GCSE's I dreamt my results!! That was well werid.  Another time when I was in Jamacia for the first time wirth my family looking out at the view (as you do) As soon as my mum said 'wow look at Blue mountain in the distance' I remembered the dream and looked around for the man in my dream and the man came dashing towards us and I grabbed for my cosuin because in the dream the man had shot my cousin.  But cos I grabbed her the gun shot missed and my Dad and brother grabbed him and called the police!
Everyone was saying to me how did you know that was going to happen? You come like Witch!
Its a shame you can't win the lottery that why! Has anyone won lottery having Deja vu? lol (Don't have to answer)
